How Does A Humidistat Work?

Humidistats work very similarly to thermostats. The difference is while thermostats respond to air temperature, humidistats respond to relative humidity. There is a sensor in the humidistat that is moisture sensitive. It uses this moisture to manipulate an electrical current that signals to the AC when it should turn on and off.

Why Should I Be Concerned About Humidity?
